Nomenclatural Notes

as 'petrae'

Remarks

Etymology: the specific epithet refers to the common habitat preference of the taxon 'growing among rocks'. Note: throughout the article the epithet is spelled 'petraea', with the exception of the protologue, where it is spelled 'petrae' and one other instance in the text where it is spelled 'petrea'. As 'petraea' best fits the etymology (feminine singular Latin adjective meaning 'growing among rocks') the epithet spelling is correctable under Art. 60.1. ICN (2018) as an typographical error.
